'Dhoni's life profile' & His records

I like to like details about my favorite hero Dhoni and his records.. Will wish him to continue his record in future. Dhoni born in Zodic sign in cancer..Dhoni belongs one middle class family. Dhoni is a fan of Adam Gilchrist and he loved to play like him, but, his childhood idol’s were his present teammate Sachin Tendulkar who is legend and God of cricket. Dhoni did his schooling in “Jawahar Vidya Mandir”, shyamali, Ranchi, where he initially excelled in badminton and football and was selected as district and club level in these sports. Dhoni was a goalkeeper for his football team and was sent to play a local cricket club by his football coach, though he has not impressed with his batting skills but he impressed with his wicket keeping skills and stood wicket keeper at the commando cricket club.

His father was working in Mecon as junior management positions, when they left uttaranchal and moved to Ranchi. Dhoni was ticket collector in Indian Railways before he entered into cricketing field .Dhoni has a sister, named as Jayanthi and brother Narendra. Its said he drinks around four litres of milk everyday but he denied it by saying that has been exaggerated a bit. He said he loves milk and drinks around a litre on a daily basis.

In his schooling days, Dhoni took lightly and played just a normal game for his cricket club. But, after his Tenth standard he took it very seriously and continued to play cricket very seriously. He was picked for the 97/98 season vinoo mankad Trophy under -16 championship and made a good performance in that championship. Since that period he continued for playing cricket only. Dhoni made his Ranji Trophy debut for Bihar in the 1999-2000 season at the age of 18. His performance was not up to the mark so that he could impress the selectors but, in 2002/03 season in Ranji Trophy he did 3 half centuries and that season made him a hard hitter.Tat season made remarkable moments in his life history..

His one day international debut came after playing five years of first class cricket on the 23rd of December 2004 against Bangladesh. The venue of the match was in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Unfortunately, he was run out on the first ball he faced. It wasn’t a great debut for him where batting is concerned. Luck wasn’t on his side in the first four matches he played. Where as on the fifth match which was played against Pakistan in Visakhapatnam, Dhoni came to the crease one down and manage to score 148 runs from just 123 balls. He hit 15 boundaries and four sixes. He got his first man of the match award that day. Not only a good wicketkeeper but Dhoni proved himself to be a first class batsman too. He is one of the few finest wicketkeeper batsman India has seen after a very long time.

On the 31st of October, Dhoni broke the record of highest runs scored by a wicket keeper by securing 183 runs against Srilanka which was played at Jaipur. Adam Gilchrist was the former record holder with 172 runs.

Dhoni was never a ticket collector by the way. He was always into cricketing after his schooling.
He used to play for ONGC team right after his school.
He used to do goal-keeping for his school team till class 8th, later one day the wicket-keeper of the cricket team couldn't turn up for an important match and thats when Dhoni was called in for a replacement. and he did better than what others had expected, and since then everything is a history.

I am also from Ranchi, and I have seen him in news since 1995, and Dhoni was always a hero for Ranchi because he used to play such a smashing game even then. His century or something nearing a century was almost always confirm. He was an amazing hitter of the ball even then, and he always used to get prizes for hitting maximum number of sixes.

Anyway, nice effort in collecting the information.
